A hot ginger and garlic drink for the cold season
This autumn everyone's panicking over swine flu. I'm not too fussed, but still I obviously don't want to get it either. My strategy is to eat a lot of nature's own medicines and keep my resistance high.
To sum up what I've read, garlic and ginger have the most potent healing power, and anything with a lot of vitamin C is good. I wanted to combine these things and I managed to make a warm drink that could be the nicest thing you've had on a cold autumn's night!
The anti-cold cocktailOne cup:
100 ml cloudy apple juice
100 ml water
Fresh ginger, thinly sliced
Slices of garlic
Heat up the liquids, slice ginger and garlic and add honey and lemon. Stir. Enjoy it while it's hot!
